Dlhé prídavné mená: more + adjective (comparative), the most + adjective (superlative). Napr. more powerful, the most colourful.
Nepravidelné: good → better → best, bad → worse → worst, far → further → furthest.
Po komparatíve nasleduje than (bigger than). Pred superlatívom je the (the biggest).
Vo vesmíre niet gravitácie (zero gravity) → astronauti plávajú. Cestujú rýchlejšie ako kedy si myslel.
Food nie je dobré — nemá chuť. Astronauti jedávajú veľa chocolate. Pár dní bez jedla = pocit hladu z vesmírnej choroby.
Sleeping: Slnko vychádza každú 1,5 hodinu → astronauti spia s páskou na očiach. Sleeping bag je priviazaný k stene (clipped to a wall), aby nelietali po stanici.
Going outside (spacewalk) je najťažšie, ale aj najúžasnejšie. Vyžaduje dlhú prípravu a stojí to za to.
Príslovky sa stupňujú podobne ako prídavné mená.

Po komparatíve používaj than. Pred komparatív môžeš dať much, a lot, a bit (much faster, a bit harder).
100 = a hundred. 1,000 = a thousand. 35,000 = thirty-five thousand. 100,000 = a hundred thousand. 1,200,000 = one million two hundred thousand. 1,500,000 = one million five hundred thousand.
V písaní: between thousands and hundreds používaj and len pri britskej angličtine (one thousand and twenty).
Space debris = názov pre všetky kúsky rakiet a satelitov vo vesmíre. Patria sem časti rakiet, broken satellites, dokonca astronauts' gloves.
Asi 29,000 veľkých kusov debris obieha Zem. Lieta rýchlosťou až 25,000 km/h — aj malý kúsok je nebezpečný (porovnanie: ako keby na teba spadlo piano z auta).
2009: dva satelity sa zrazili → vytvorilo to viac ako 2,000 nových kúskov. ISS musela uniknúť pred kolíziou — letela 800 km od trosiek.
Každý deň padne malý kúsok na Zem — väčšina v Pacific alebo Atlantic Ocean. 2008: veľký kus pristál v Arizone.

Comparative: krátke = -er + than, dlhé = more + than. Superlative: krátke = the + -est, dlhé = the most.
Spelling: large+r, big → bigger, shiny → shinier (y→i).
Neither / none = už záporné, žiadne extra "not".
Tip na vocabulary: zakry preklad, skús si vybaviť. Po pár minútach to znova otestuj. Funguje.
